Moving Along
While it may look, from the lack of posts here, that I took the summer off from working on my National Boards, in reality, I just haven’t posted.
I actually did write most of Entry 4 – Accomplishments – during the summer. During the first month of school, I did concentrate on getting things int eh classroom running smoothly, and I just last week gave what I had written to my mentor to read. I was really nervous about that because I had nothing to base my writing on. There are very few samples of writing out there to go by. However, it turned out that I nothing to be worried about. My mentor said that what I had written was good – whew! That really was a relief. I didn’t want to write more until I was sure that my writing style was what they wanted.
So now I’ve been writing more. I’m starting a neat blogging project with my 8th grade computer class and I think it would be a great lesson to use as one of my entries because it shows how I incorporate Language Arts skills into the technology lessons. I started some descriptions of my classes and that lesson in particular, but I can’t really write more until I start it so that I can write about things that went well and things that could have been better.
